CARROLLTON, TEXAS – The Elon University men's golf team is tied for 11th place after the first two rounds of the Maridoe Intercollegiate.

The Phoenix posted a 31-over-par 607, sitting alongside Louisiana Tech. Oklahoma leads the field at 8-under-par 568.

HIGHLIGHTS  

• Matthew Doyle leads Elon at 3-over-par 147, tied for 17th. He recorded 16 pars in round one and eagled hole 17 in round two.
• Jack Wieler is tied for 29th with a 36-hole total of 149.
• Landon Durham sits tied for 44th at 152 (+8) after rounds of 75 and 77.
• Garrett Risner is tied for 72nd following rounds of 78 and 81.
• Juan Callejo Ropero posted back-to-back rounds of 82 and is in 76th place.
