THE ROAD TO THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
- The Phoenix enters the regional with momentum. Led by CAA Coach of the Year Don Hill, Elon capped its regular season with a runner-up finish at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate before securing the CAA Championship in a dramatic playoff, highlighted by clutch eagles from seniors Garrett Risner and Jack Wieler.
- Risner and Wieler, both named First Team All-CAA, anchor the Phoenix lineup. Risner, a senior from Holly Springs, N.C., posted seven top-10 finishes this season with a 71.2 scoring average. Wieler, the CAA's top-ranked sophomore, shared medalist honors at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate and played a pivotal role in the championship run.
- They're joined by Juan Callejo Ropero, who earned All-Tournament honors at the CAA Championship with a T-4 finish, along with Matthew Doyle and Landon Durham—both of whom have made consistent contributions throughout the season.
- Elon has recorded seven top-5 finishes during the 2024–25 season and enters its NCAA debut with confidence, chemistry, and a proven ability to compete under pressure.
The top five teams and the lowest-scoring individual not on an advancing team will qualify for the 2025 NCAA Championship, held May 23–28 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
