JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Madison Synowiec of the Elon University women's track and field team closed out competition at the NCAA East First Round meet on Thursday night, May 29, at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
 
Synowiec competed in the 10,000-meters for the Phoenix and closed out her first-ever race at the regional with a time of 35:58.59. She would finish 43^rd overall in the race, concluding her outdoor season.
