Cokley's appearance followed his selection to the Preseason All-CAA Second Team earlier Thursday. The Whiteville, North Carolina, native averaged 12.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in his first season with the Phoenix, scoring in double figures 22 times. He shot 39.2% from 3-point range overall and elevated that mark to 43.6% against conference opponents.

After transferring from George Mason, Cokley provided a scoring spark off the bench through Elon's first 20 games before moving into the starting lineup in January. His sophomore season included a career-high 29 points at William & Mary, where he drilled seven 3-pointers, including the go-ahead shot with two seconds remaining.

Cokley and senior guard Randall Pettus II give Elon two of the three players returning to the CAA this season who ranked among the conference's top 30 scorers a year ago. Pettus averaged 11.0 points per game last season.

Elon opens the 2026-27 season at Columbia on Monday, Nov. 2, before welcoming UNCG to Schar Center for its home opener Friday, Nov. 6.
