ELON – Elon baseball returns to Latham Park to face Presbyterian Tuesday night following a weekend series sweep over Delaware. First pitch between the Phoenix (3-0) and the Blue Hose (2-2) will be at 4 p.m. ET.

- Elon has a 23-10 series advantage over Presbyterian. After a nearly 30-year hiatus, the two teams met in 2025 for the first time since 1997. Dating back to 1997, Elon has won five straight games over the Blue Hose.
- Vince Fattore was named CAA Player of the Week by the conference Monday morning. The outfielder had a career game in Elon's 17-4 win in the finale, batting 3-for-3, with two doubles and a solo home run to help the Phoenix finish off a sweep. He concluded his weekend batting .800 (4-for-5) and posted an on-base percentage of .875.
- Senior Jackson Alford returns as Elon's top hitter after an All-CAA campaign in 2025 that saw him start all 57 games. Among Phoenix batters last season, Alford finished tied for first in runs scored (62), second in doubles (14), second in extra-base hits (23), second in total bases (105), third in hits (66), third in stolen bases (11), third in slugging percentage (.451), third in OPS (.825) and fourth in batting average (.283). His 62 runs scored were the most runs scored in a season by an Elon player since 2009. Alford was a 2026 preseason All-CAA honorable mention.
- Veteran pitchers Brian Strange and Cole Hansen made their first Phoenix starts on the mound against Delaware this past weekend. The two graduates both won their starts, with Strange going 4.1 innings with six strikeouts on Friday night and Hansen going 5.2 innings and allowing three runs in the finale.
- Jake Hajdu picked up where he finished the 2025 season by having the best game of his career Saturday night. Hajdu finished with a career-high six RBIs and his first career home run in Elon's 17-4 win in game three of the series.
- The Phoenix lineup was filled with new faces on Opening Day. The top six spots in the lineup and the starting pitcher were all newcomers.
- Following a 25-32 (13-14 CAA) season in 2025, Elon was picked in a tie for fourth in the 2026 CAA preseason poll.
- Head coach Mike Kennedy enters his 30th season at the helm of Elon Baseball. After earning 25 wins last season, Kennedy has led the Phoenix to 24 seasons of 25 wins or more. Kennedy is a 2025-26 Elon Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
