RICHMOND, Va. – Elon freshman
Dylan Lewis was named the Coastal Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following a standout individual performance at the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rico over the past three days.
Lewis tied for third individually with a 4-under 212 to lead Elon to a fourth-place finish in its first 2026 spring action at the Dorado. After shooting a 2-over 74 in the opening round Sunday, the Wilmington native rebounded with a 4-under 68 – featuring five birdies, including four across the first 13 holes – in round two before closing out the tournament with a 2-under 70 on Tuesday.
The second-round 68 tied the freshman's collegiate 18-hole low, a mark he hit twice previously in the fall.
Lewis is the fourth Phoenix to earn the CAA's weekly award during the 2025-26 season, joining
Jack Wieler (Oct. 8),
William Carr (Oct. 8) and
Landon Durham (Oct. 15).
