Phoenix Record Multiple Program Marks at Three Meets Friday

Wins, Personal Bests And Program Marks Highlight Friday’s Action

ELON – The Elon University women's track and field team split athletes across three meets Friday, competing at the VMI Winter Relays, the Doc Hale Invitational and the Camel City Sprints.
 
VMI Winter Relays – Lexington, Va.
Eloise Mulready won the high jump as the rookie cleared a personal-best 1.70 meters to take the event. The mark ties her for the third-best indoor performance in program history. Hannah Schonhoff finished third overall with a jump of 1.65 meters.
 
Lizzie Lopez placed second in the pentathlon, scoring 3,470 points in the multis. The senior from Sparks, Md., won the pentathlon high jump with a clearance of 1.64 meters. Greta Urbonaviciute finished fourth with 3,312 points, while Irene Blanco Garcia placed fifth with 3,275 points. Urbonaviciute surpassed her previous personal-best total, while Blanco Garcia moved into the program's top-10 indoor performance list.
 
Camel City Sprints – Winston-Salem
At the Camel City Sprints, Adriana Clarke recorded her second straight personal-best in the weight throw. The junior posted a winning mark of 18.82 meters, while teammate Isabella Johnson placed third with a throw of 17.12 meters.
 
Doc Hale Invitational – Blacksburg, Va.
Abby Beville finished fifth overall in the one-mile run, posting a personal-best time of 4:48.49 to move into the program's top-five indoor performance list. Sarah Petitjean followed in seventh at 4:56.02.
 
In the 60-meter hurdles, both Ja'mia Johnson and Mia Stimpson set personal-best times. Johnson placed sixth in 8.67, while Stimpson was seventh at 8.71.
 
Hannah Weber earned third overall in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 9:41.16, moving into the program's top-10 indoor list. Jasmine Young finished seventh with a season-best 9:59.38.
 
Mya Lee recorded the fastest prelim time among Phoenix competitors in the 60 meters, clocking a 7.73. Teri Pridgen followed closely with a prelim time of 7.75, which moved her into the program's top-10 indoor performance list.
 
Duna Viñals closed out the first day at the Doc Hale Invitational with a time of 57.27 in the 400 meters, finishing 16th overall.
 
ON DECK
The Phoenix return to competition Saturday for the second day of the Doc Hale Invitational and the Camel City Distance meet in Winston-Salem.
