ELON – The Elon men's golf team will trek to Eatonton, Georgia, this week for the 20th-annual Linger Longer Invitational, hosted by Kennesaw State at the Great Waters Course at Lake Oconee. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins Friday with first-round tee times off holes 1 and 10 starting at 8:30 a.m. ET each day through Sunday.

LAST TIME AT THE LINGER LONGER
The Phoenix competed at the Linger Longer Invitational for the first time last spring, placing fifth among a talented 16-team field with an 8-under par 856. Phoenix alumnus
Garrett Risner took fifth individually with a 7-under 209 while
Jack Wieler (-1) and
Landon Durham (+1) – both of which are Elon's No. 1 and 2 golfers this week – tied for 25th and 32nd, respectively.
RECORDS SET IN MYRTLE BEACH
Elon used a record-breaking final round to finish second at the Surf Club Invitational last Tuesday in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Phoenix fired a 21-under 263 over the final 18 holes to close the two-day tournament at 34-under 818 (280-275-263). The 21-under score and 263 both set Elon program records for a single round, surpassing the previous marks established at the 2021 Phoenix Invitational.
Drew Yeagley (T2, -10), Wieler (T4, -10) and
William Carr (T10, -7) all placed among the top 10 individually.
