RICHMOND, Va. – Elon freshman right-handed pitcher Aidan Stieglitz was announced as the CAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week by the conference Monday morning. Stieglitz pitched the first 7.2 innings of Elon's combined no-hitter against Fairfield on Saturday.

Stieglitz retired the first 23 batters he faced in his first career start, helping the Phoenix to their first no-hitter since 2017 as well as a series win against the reigning MAAC champions.
 
The Basking Ridge, New Jersey, native is the first Phoenix freshman to win a CAA Pitcher of the Week award since Justin Mitrovich in 2023.
 
The Phoenix will return to the diamond Tuesday as they travel to Chapel Hill to take on No. 8 North Carolina. First pitch between Elon and the Tar Heels will be at 4 p.m. ET.
