HIGH POINT – The Elon women's track and field team opened competition at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge with a record-breaking performance and multiple standout efforts in the throwing events.
Junior
Jaqueline Zacharias headlined the day, surpassing her own school record in the javelin with a throw of 45.30 meters, 0.37 meters farther than her previous mark that she set just last Friday at the Phoenix Invitational. She placed sixth in the event.
In the hammer throw, Elon delivered a dominant showing as sophomore
Isabella Johnson and junior
Adriana Clarke each recorded personal bests to finish first and second, respectively. Johnson led the field with a mark of 58.85 meters while Clarke followed at 56.38 meters, with the duo continuing to rank No. 2 and No. 3 all-time in program history.
Sophomore
Grace Wager added another strong performance in the hammer, posting a throw of 44.63 meters.
