SNOW HILL – Battling challenging weather conditions throughout the day, the Elon men's golf team remained firmly in contention after the second round of the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate on Saturday at Cutter Creek Golf Club.
The Phoenix, who opened the tournament with a 13-under 275 to lead the 14-team field on Friday, carded a 14-over 302 in round two. Elon sits at 1-over 577 (275-302) through 36 holes and is in third place, seven shots behind tournament host East Carolina (-6) and four strokes back of second-place Campbell (-3).
Two Phoenix remain inside the top 10 individually, led by freshman
