ELON – Elon baseball begins their nine-game road trip at No. 10 North Carolina State Tuesday afternoon. The Phoenix is coming off a CAA opening series win against North Carolina A&T this past weekend. Elon took the final two games of the series and scored 19 runs combined in the two wins.
 
Jackson Alford has proved to be one of the top leadoff hitters in college baseball through 15 games. Alford is third in the country in stolen bases per game (1.07) and 7^th in the country in stolen bases (15). His batting average (.378) puts him third in the CAA.
