DURHAM – The Elon women's track and field team continued competition at the Duke Invitational on Friday at Morris Williams Stadium, highlighted by a pair of top-10 all-time program performances.
Julia Bell and
Eloise Mulready each etched their names into Elon's record book, leading the Phoenix across a full day of competition on the track and in the field.
Bell turned in a standout performance in the 1500 meters, placing 14th overall with a personal-best time of 4:20.19. The mark moves her to No. 6 all-time in program history in the event.
Mulready added to the day's highlights in the high jump, clearing a personal-best height of 1.63 meters (5'4.25") to finish in a tie for seventh. Her mark ranks No. 10 all-time at Elon. She was joined at the same height by teammate
Hannah Schonhoff, who also tied for seventh.
In the throws,
Isabella Johnson led a strong showing in the hammer with a fifth-place finish on a mark of 58.45 meters (191'9"), while
Adriana Clarke followed in seventh at 56.12 meters (184'1"). Johnson also added a seventh-place result in the discus at 46.12 meters (151'4"), pacing Elon in the event.
On the track,
Cami Glebocki delivered a personal-best performance in the 5,000 meters, placing sixth overall with a time of 16:57.93.
Ashland Dickel (21st, 17:27.71) and
Emilia Smith (26th, 17:36.07) also competed in the event.
Elsewhere, Sara Petitjean (4:27.66) and
Quinn Smith (4:29.83) followed Bell in the 1500 meters, while
Amelia Summers posted a time of 11:39.93 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Mia Stimpson clocked a 13.98 in the 100-meter hurdles, and
Mary Sollars recorded a time of 12.28 in the 100 meters.
In additional field event action,
Tristin Oberg (43.45m/142'6"),
Allison Mateyak (41.15m/135'0") and
Grace Wager (38.31m/125'8") competed in the discus, while Wager also threw 46.11 meters (151'3") in the hammer.
