ELON –The Elon baseball team (14-21) looks to build off a CAA win this past Sunday as it welcomes Winthrop (23-13) to Latham Park Tuesday night.

Elon and Winthrop will meet for the first time since 2008 on Tuesday before they clash again next week in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Tuesday's game will be streamed on FloCollege. The audio broadcast will also be available on the Varsity Network App.

HOW TO FOLLOW
PROBABLE STARTING PITCHERS

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
  • Elon leads the all-time series, 12-7.

  • Most of the previous matchups came during Elon's Big South era (2000-03).

QUICK HITS
  • Graduate Brian DuRoff has paced the Phoenix offense over the last six weeks. Since CAA play began on March 6, DuRoff is batting .338 (27-for-80) with 10 extra-base hits and 23 runs batted in.
  • Senior Jackson Alford has continued his All-CAA form from 2025, leading the Phoenix in multiple offensive categories through 36 games. Alford, who is 27 of 31 in stolen bases, is the first Phoenix since Tyler Stanley (2019) to steal 20 or more bases in a season.
  • Kehler Hamilton has become one of Elon's top bullpen arms this season. After just three appearances during his freshman season, Hamilton is tied for second on the team with 14 in 2026. Among non-qualified pitchers, Hamilton is first on the team in ERA at 1.80.
  • Cole Miller continues to find form as Elon's midweek starter. He threw a career high five innings, struck out three and walked none against Queens on March 31.
  • Gar Hindle had his best stretch as a Phoenix over the last eight games, hitting .323 (10-for-31) while driving in a team-high 13 runs.
  • Following a 25-32 (13-14 CAA) season in 2025, Elon was picked in a tie for fourth in the 2026 CAA preseason poll.
  • Head coach Mike Kennedy is in his 30th season at the helm of Elon Baseball. After earning 25 wins last season, Kennedy has led the Phoenix to 24 seasons of 25 wins or more. Kennedy is a 2025-26 Elon Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
