RICHMOND, Va. – Elon freshman
Drew Yeagley was named the Coastal Athletic Association Co-Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday, following a standout performance at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate.
Yeagley tied for fourth in a competitive 97-player field, posting a 54-hole total of 7-under par 203 (64-68-71) at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill. His final score was the top mark among all CAA men's golfers in competition last week.
The freshman opened the tournament with a dominant, bogey-free 6-under 64 and held sole possession of third place through 36 holes before finishing in a tie for fourth. He outperformed eight golfers ranked inside the top 150 nationally, including three ranked among the top 60.
The Tar Heel Intercollegiate featured a strong field with nine teams ranked inside the top 100 nationally, including squads ranked No. 11, No. 27, No. 29 and No. 42. As a team, Elon finished ninth out of 16 with a 14-over par total of 854.
Yeagley, who has recorded eight top-20 finishes in nine tournaments this season, is one of five Phoenix to collect at least a share of the CAA's weekly award during the 2025-26 season. He shared the award with Drexel's John Stevenson, who won the 36-hole Abarta Coca-Cola Invitational with a 4-under 140.
