RICHMOND, Va. – Elon women's track & field juniors Abby Beville and Adriana Clarke earned weekly honors from the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) on Tuesday, with Beville named Co-Track Athlete of the Week and Clarke selected as Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Beville turned in a standout performance in the 1500 meters at the Wake Forest Invitational last Friday, clocking a personal-best 4:19.75. The time leads the CAA this season and moved her to No. 6 all-time in program history. It also ranks No. 28 in the Southeast Region this season.
 
Clarke posted a pair of strong showings across two meets, highlighted by a personal-record performance in the hammer throw at the Wake Forest Invitational on Thursday. She surpassed the 60-meter mark for the first time in her career with a winning throw of 60.27 meters (197'9"), a mark that ranks No. 1 in the CAA, No. 2 in program history and No. 9 in the Southeast Region this season.
 
She followed that effort with another productive day at the Aggie Invitational on Saturday, placing third in the hammer throw with a distance of 56.73 meters (186'1") and adding an outdoor personal-best mark of 13.32 meters (43'8.5") in the shot put to finish fifth and maintain her No. 9 ranking on Elon's all-time list.
 
Beville shared women's track accolade with North Carolina A&T's Makenna Urbanek.
 
Beville and Clarke are the fourth and fifth Phoenix to earn weekly honors from the CAA so far this outdoor season.
