ELON – The Elon men's golf team sets its eyes on a second consecutive conference title when it tees off Sunday at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship at Dataw Island Golf Club on St. Helena Island, South Carolina.

The Phoenix, ranked No. 76 entering the three-day, 54-hole tournament, will play the first round alongside No. 43 UNCW and No. 47 Charleston, starting on the first tee between 11:30 a.m. and 12:18 p.m. ET Sunday. The 10-team field will play 18 holes each day through Tuesday.

TEE SHOTS
  • Elon will look to repeat as the CAA champion, having won the 2025 conference title in a sudden-death playoff thriller at Union League National Golf Course in Swainton, New Jersey, last season. It was the Phoenix's first conference title at the Division I level and first overall since 1994.
  • Elon can become the first CAA school to win back-to-back men's golf conference titles since Charleston (2021-22).
  • The Phoenix lineup has blended veteran experience with youthful talent all season. Junior Jack Wieler and senior Landon Durham have competed in two CAA Championships apiece, while the freshman trio of Drew Yeagley, Dylan Lewis and William Carr look to make a splash in their postseason debuts. Wieler (2024) and Durham (2023) have been named to the CAA All-Championship Team previously, tying for fourth and fifth, respectively, in consecutive seasons.
  • All five Phoenix have earned at least a share of the CAA's Golfer of the Week award this season.
  • Durham (Elon Phoenix Invitational) and Carr (Cutter Creek Invitational) have both won individual medalist honors.
  • Yeagley has finished among the top 20 individually in eight of nine tournaments this season.
  • Prior to a ninth-place finish in its regular-season finale at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, Elon reeled off sixth consecutive top-four finishes – including two tournament victories at the Elon Phoenix Invitational and the Cutter Creek Invitational – between October and March.
