RICHMOND, Va. – Elon Director of Track & Field and Cross Country
Mark Elliston was named the 2026 CAA Women's Indoor Coach of the Year as the league announced its indoor postseason awards on Friday.
Elliston earned his second CAA Indoor Coach of the Year honor after leading the Phoenix to the 2026 title this past February, marking the program's second indoor championship in the past four seasons. The Maroon and Gold scored 135 points at the condensed, one-day championship on Feb. 22 and produced a pair of individual event champions in
Abby Beville (one mile) and
Adriana Clarke (weight throw). Eight Phoenix and two relay teams earned All-CAA honors at the league meet.
Elliston, now in his 20th season at Elon's helm, has guided the Phoenix to eight CAA titles across indoor (two) and outdoor (six) seasons. He's earned the CAA's Coach of the Year accolade each time Elon has won the conference title.
