ELON –The Elon baseball team (17-26, 8-16 CAA) will look to get back into the CAA Tournament race with a weekend series at William & Mary (19-23, 10-11 CAA). Elon closes out their road, CAA schedule following a 5-3 away record in the month of April.
Elon dropped their first weekend series of two against William & Mary earlier this season at Latham Park. A
Gar Hindle grand slam sealed a 9-4 Sunday win over the Tribe.

- Elon has won three of its past four road games – all being top-90 RPI victories – besting Campbell twice on the road before earning a 10-8 win at Winthrop on last Tuesday.
- Senior Jackson Alford has been one of the top base stealers in the country in 2026, swiping 28 of 34 to rank second in the CAA and 16th nationally. Alford is the first Phoenix since Tyler Stanley (2019) to steal 28 or more bases in a season. With a stolen base against Winthrop, Alford entered Elon's single-season top 10 list.
- Graduate Brian DuRoff paced the Phoenix offense in April, hitting .397 (23-for-58) with 14 extra-base hits and 18 RBI in that span. DuRoff hit his 17th double of the season last Friday night, giving him the most by a Phoenix since the 2020 season.
- Brian Strange continues to deliver for the Phoenix on Friday night. Over his three starts to begin April, Strange has recorded a 2.37 ERA and a 2-0 record. Strange is currently fourth in the CAA in strikeouts with 62.
- Jared Hall has heated up over the last 16 games, homering in consecutive games twice and while having scored multiple runs in three of his last nine games. Hall has vaulted his batting average up to over .250 with his recent run.
- Mike Staiano has rounded into form at the backend of Elon's bullpen. The left-hander has earned a save in three of his last five relief appearances, including Tuesday night at Winthrop. Staiano is second in the CAA in saves (5) behind his teammate RJ Latkowksi (6).
- Following a 25-32 (13-14 CAA) season in 2025, Elon was picked in a tie for fourth in the 2026 CAA preseason poll.
- Head coach Mike Kennedy is in his 30th season at the helm of Elon Baseball. After earning 25 wins last season, Kennedy has led the Phoenix to 24 seasons of 25 wins or more. Kennedy is a 2025-26 Elon Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
