Duo Lands On All-CAA Second Team; Yeagley Tabbed Co-Rookie Of The Year

RICHMOND, Va. – Elon men's golfers Drew Yeagley and Jack Wieler earned 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) postseason honors, the league office announced Wednesday.

Yeagley was named the CAA Co-Rookie of the Year and earned All-CAA Second Team recognition, while Wieler also landed on the All-CAA Second Team, marking his third consecutive season as an all-conference honoree. The full list of CAA Men's Golf accolades is included below and can be viewed on CAASports.com.

A native of Waxhaw, Yeagley shared CAA Co-Rookie of the Year accolades with William & Mary's Talon Dingledine, marking the first time in league history the award has featured co-winners. Yeagley is the first Phoenix to be voted a conference rookie/freshman of the year since James Hockman in 2002, when Elon was a member of the Big South Conference.

Yeagley capped a standout debut season with a 70.36 stroke average over 30 rounds, finishing inside the top 20 individually in nine of 10 tournaments played. He posted three top-five finishes during the spring campaign and ended the year at 31-under par with 17 under-par rounds. Among Yeagley's top performances was a runner-up finish at the Surf Club Invitational in a field of 107 golfers. He also earned CAA Co-Golfer of the Week honors on April 15 after tying for fourth at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, defeating eight golfers ranked among the nation's top 150.

Wieler, a junior, led the CAA with a 70.40 stroke average and recorded six top-10 finishes across 10 events during the 2025-26 season. The Bluffton, South Carolina, native posted three third-place finishes, shot under par in 17 of 30 rounds and finished the year at 30-under par overall. A three-time All-CAA selection, Wieler previously earned first-team honors in 2025 and a second-team nod in 2024. He was also named CAA Co-Golfer of the Week on Oct. 9.

Yeagley and Wieler helped guide the Phoenix to a runner-up finish at the 2026 CAA Men's Golf Championship.
