ELON – The Elon women's track & field team will send a school-record seven athletes to Lexington, Kentucky, next week for the 2026 NCAA East First Round, following the release of the regional qualifying list Thursday. The meet, which will be held May 27-30 at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex, will determine which athletes advance to the upcoming NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, in June.
The Phoenix's seven qualifiers include
Katie Blount (10,000m),
Adriana Clarke (Hammer),
Isabella Johnson (Hammer),
Hannah Schonhoff (High Jump), Duna Viñals (400m Hurdles),
Hannah Weber (10,000m) and
Jaqueline Zacharias (Javelin).
The seven representatives break Elon's previous record of five NCAA regional qualifiers, which had been reached four times, most recently in 2024.
