ELON – Six members of the Elon women's track & field team competed Thursday on the opening day of the NCAA East First Round at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
Katie Blount led the Phoenix with a 23rd-place finish in the 10,000-meter run, crossing the line in 34:11.55.
Hannah Weber also represented Elon in the event, finishing 38th in 35:01.45.
Isabella Johnson posted Elon's top field-event finish of the day, placing 23rd in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.66 meters.
Adriana Clarke also competed in the hammer, finishing 43rd with a throw of 53.74 meters.
Duna Viñals closed her season in the 400-meter hurdles, placing 29th in 58.39 seconds. Jacqueline Zacharias represented the Phoenix in the javelin, finishing 41st with a mark of 44.12 meters.
Thursday's competition marked the final meet of the season for all six Elon athletes, three of which were the individual CAA champions in their respective events (Blount, Viñals, Zacharias). The group was part of a Phoenix team that won its second consecutive CAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship earlier this month, helping Elon complete the CAA triple crown with league titles in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field during the 2025-26 academic year.
