ELON – The Elon men's soccer team has finalized its 2026 signing class, with seven newcomers joining the Phoenix. Elon will welcome four transfers and three freshmen to its 2026 fall roster.
Martin, a goalkeeper, redshirted as a freshman last season for Monmouth and hails from Albany, New York. Sasaki is a defender from Tokyo, Japan, that started all 23 games last season for Phoenix College as sophomore, netting three goals and helping the Bears secure their first ever NJCAA national championship. An Annandale, Virginia native, Kallon was a freshman forward last season for the Wolfpack, while Jones, a defender from Vienna, Virginia, appeared in two games as a freshman defender for the Cavaliers last season.
Mertsch is a midfielder that hails from Dusseldorf, Germany, and comes to Elon from Wuppertaler SV. Reeves is a forward that played high school soccer at Grimsley in Greensboro and is the son of Elon head coach
Marc Reeves. Wendorf is a Frisco, Texas native and played high school soccer as a defender at Jesuit Dallas.
The additions join midseason transfers Tønnes Daland (Fort Hays State),
Caleb Frakes (Northern Kentucky),
Ben Madore (Penn State) and
Daire McCarthy (Charlotte) as newcomers for the fall season.
Elon is coming off its first CAA Tournament title and sixth NCAA Tournament appearance last fall.
