ELON – The Elon men's soccer team announced its 2026 schedule Thursday, featuring 17 matches. The Phoenix will host 10 games at Rudd Field and is set to play eight CAA contests.
Elon will play a trio of exhibitions, with road games against Queens (Aug. 8) and NC State (Aug. 11) before a home contest against Liberty (Aug. 15). The Phoenix opens the regular season on Aug. 20 at Rudd against VMI before heading to Old Dominion on Aug. 24 for its first road match. Elon closes out the month with its CAA opener at Rudd against William & Mary (Aug. 30).
The Phoenix then hits the road for back-to-back conference matches to begin September against UNCW (Sept. 5) and Campbell (Sept. 12). Elon returns home Sept. 15 for a matchup against Radford before another CAA home game Sept. 19 against College of Charleston. A road trip to Davidson on Sept. 22 is next for Elon before its first of two matches against ACC opponents Sept. 26 at Duke. The Phoenix caps September against USC Upstate at Rudd (Sept. 29).
Elon completes its home-and-home with the Tribe on Oct. 3 in Williamsburg before returning home for an Oct. 6 match against Guilford College. The Phoenix then wraps up its road slate Oct. 10 at College Charleston before a closing four-match homestand with fixtures against Longwood (Oct. 13), UNCW (Oct. 17), Wake Forest (Oct. 24) and Campbell (Oct. 31).
This is the second season the CAA will feature two divisions for men's soccer. Elon will compete in the South Division alongside Campbell, Charleston, UNCW and William & Mary and will play each of these teams twice in the regular season.
The top three teams in the North and South division at the conclusion of the regular season will qualify for the CAA Championship, which will be played over two weekends from Nov. 5-14. The No. 2 seed in each division will host the No. 3 seed on the first weekend, with the winners moving on to face the No. 1 seed in each division. The highest remaining seed will then host the championship match on the second weekend. If both teams have the same divisional seed, the team with the most points in the regular season will host.
Elon is coming off its first CAA Tournament title and its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance a season ago. The Phoenix won the South Division title and defeated Campbell in the conference semifinal before winning the championship match against Stony Brook at Rudd.
