ELON – Elon men's basketball head coach Billy Taylor announced Wednesday the hiring of Zeke Petrou as the program's Director of Video and Analytics. Petrou, a 2026 Elon graduate, joins the men's basketball staff in a full-time capacity after spending the past two years as a student manager for the Phoenix.
 
"Zeke has earned this opportunity through the work he has put in over the past two years with our program," Taylor said. "He understands how we operate, he cares deeply about Elon and our student-athletes, and he will continue to be a great asset to our staff."
 
In his role, Petrou will oversee the collection and breakdown of practice and game video while assisting the coaching staff with film preparation and statistical analysis. He will also lead video analysis and modeling efforts designed to support program-wide planning and individual player development.
 
"I am thrilled to join the Elon men's basketball staff in a full-time capacity," Petrou said. "These past two years working with the team as a student manager have given me invaluable experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity Coach Taylor has provided to continue this work in an elevated role. I can't wait to get started."
 
Petrou, who hails from Durham, graduated from Elon with a degree in sport management last May.
