2009-10: Was Elon’s No. 1 singles player, posting a 10-13 ledger overall and a 7-3 mark in the SoCon • was a combined 18-7 in doubles play, primarily at number two, with both Chase Helpingstine and Cody Stauffer-MacDowell • with Stauffer-MacDowell, ended the year with a 15-match winning streak • was a winner at number two doubles in Elon’s match at No. 60 College of Charleston • was a first-team All-SoCon selection in singles and a second-team pick in doubles • named the SoCon Player of the Week on March 16 • awarded the Southern Conference Don Bunch/Buddy Hartsell Sportsmanship Award • played top competition in the fall, teaming with Chase Helpingstine to win two of three doubles matches in the A1 doubles flight at the UVA Classic.
2008-09: Along with Damon Gooch, became the first Elon players to compete in the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships • Gooch and Nemec produced a mark of 19-5 in dual doubles action, including a 9-1 SoCon record • Gooch and Nemec earned the highest-ever ITA national ranking by an Elon duo at No. 20 during 2009 • posted an 18-8 dual singles tally, winning eight league matches • put together an eight-match singles winning streak during the year • his singles victory helped Elon to a 4-3 victory over #56 Radford • first-team All-SoCon doubles honoree • had a successful fall with singles wins over North Carolina’s Cameron Ahari and William Laus • was also undefeated in both singles and doubles play at the Elon Invitational, posting a 6-0 record • received team’s Top Doubles Award.
2007-08: Fashioned a 15-9 dual singles mark playing predominantly at No. 5 in his first season • posted wins over Alex Stone of Duke, Andrew Mazlin of Michigan and Carlos Salmon of Wake Forest • finished with a 13-6 record in doubles with partner Damon Gooch in the spring • named SoCon Player of the Month in January • recognized as first- team All-SoCon in doubles with Gooch • earned team’s Heart and Hustle Award.
Prep: Was a national singles and two-time national doubles champion in Canada • earned a gold medal in doubles play at the 2005 Canada Summer Games • won both the singles and doubles titles at the Vancouver ITF • one of the top juniors in Canada, ranking No. 4 nationally in singles and No. 3 nationally for doubles for ages 18 & under • ranked No. 280 by the International Tennis Federation.
