Personal: Full name is Maxwell James Ferrari • Born on Dec. 19, 1997 • Son of Paul and Julie Ferrari • Mother played lacrosse and field hockey at Wellesley College • Uncle Charles Ferrari played football at Yale • Younger brother Luca is attending UVA Double major in Finance and Project Management with a minor in Sports Management.

2021-22 (Graduate): Played in five tournaments • Averaged a score of 74.43 with a +2.64 score vs. par • Had three of his 14 rounds counted towards the team score • Best finish was at the Phoenix Invitational, where he tied for 15th with a three-under par 210. The Framingham, Mass. native opened Elon's home tournament with a one-under 70, then followed that with a four-under 67. He rounded out the tournament with a round of 73 to help the B Team finish fifth in the 13-team field.

2020-21 (R-Senior): Appeared in all five tournaments • Led the Phoenix in average score (73.60) and score vs. par (+1.80) • Had 14-of-15 rounds count towards the team score • Started off the spring with a six-over 222 to tie for 16th at the Ross Collegiate Classic on March 8-9. The effort helped the Phoenix place fourth in the field of 13 • He tied for 22nd with a plus-12 225 at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate on March 12-14 • Was the team's top performer at the Stitch Intercollegiate on April 9-10. He recorded a 68 in the second route and finished tied for 27th with a 213 (-3) • Shot a 223 (+7) to tie for 19th at the CAA Championship on April 25-27.

2019-20 (R-Junior): Competed in six tournaments, with 17-of-18 rounds counting towards the team score  Owned an average score of 72.78 with a +1.44 score vs. par Finished T-13th with a one-under par 209 at the Golfweek Program Challenge. He hit a three-under 67 in round two, marking a new career-low round • Followed the effort with a T-19th at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate as he carded an even 216 • Shot a three-under 68 in the opening round of the Phoenix Invitational, where he placed T-33rd with a one-over 214 • Carded a six-under par 210 to T-8th at UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate • Recorded a seven-over 220 to T-5th at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

2018-19 (R-Sophomore): Played in eight tournaments and 24 rounds with four Top-25 finishes  Had 21-of-24 rounds count towards the overall team score • T-21st at the Phoenix Invitational after turning in a one-over 214. The effort allowed the maroon and gold to repeat as champions on their home course • Helped the team to a second-place finish at the Loyola Intercollegiate as he T-13th with an even 216 • Had a career-best finish as he T-10th at the USF Invitational. T-50th through the opening round, he posted a two-under par 70 and a one-under 71 to move up in the standings • Earned a T-11th at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, shooting a season-best 68 in the first round Finished the year with an average score of 74.25.


2017-18 (R-Freshman at SMC): Competed in three tournaments for SMC in 2017-18  Made is collegiate debut at the Stockton Pacific Invitational • Posted a season low-round of 68 on the second day of the Saint Mary's Invitational, en route to a T-31st place finish • Earned a season-best T-23rd finish at the Arizona Intercollegiate • Finished the year with a 73.67 stroke average.

2016-17 (Freshman at SMC): Did not compete during the season and was redshirted.

Before Elon: Was a four-year letterwinner at Framingham High School • Led his team and was the individual champion at the 2016 Massachusetts State Championships • Finished among the top five at the state championships for three seasons as an individual • Earned regional all-scholastics recognition by the Boston Globe and Boston Herald and was named a Bay State All-Star four times during his time at Framingham High School • Had decorated 2016 season at the junior ranks, including a fifth place finish at the Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championships, a placement in third at the AJGA Gary Gilchrist Boston Junior, a fourth place finish and match play qualifier at the MGA Junior Amateur Championships, and a runner-up finish at the NE Interscholastic Golf Championships.
