2011: SoCon All-Freshman Team honoree … Went 6-2 with a 4.84 ERA in 19 appearances as a true freshman … Started eight games … Held opponents to a .233 batting average … Logged 67.0 innings, striking out 47 … Made his collegiate debut in the season-opener at North Carolina state … Won his first game after allowing two runs over seven innings in a 12-3 decision over Temple … Scattered three hits over seven frames to pick up the win in a 5-0 game at Wake Forest … Surrendered two runs on four hits in six innings to pick up the win in an 8-2 contest at Old Dominion … Struck out a career-high seven hitters in five innings out of the bullpen against Western Carolina in the SoCon Tournament.
