Career Recap
Finishes her career as the most decorated offensive player in program history with 179 goals and 32 assists for 211 points. She also pulled in 155 draw controls for her career and started all 68 games the maroon and gold played during her time with the program. At the end of her 2018 senior season, Asher held the program records for goals, points, shots (434), free position goals (40) and draw controls. She also held single-season records for goals (58 in 2017), points (69 in 2017), shots (127 in 2017), free position goals (13 in 2017) and draw controls (76 in 2018) while holding single-game highs in points (9) and draw controls (10).
2018: Started all 15 games on the season while serving as a team captain…Tallied team highs with 39 goals, eight assists, 47 points and 76 draw controls…The 76 draw controls set a new program record for the most in a campaign and she finished tops in the conference and 37th in the nation with 5.07 draw controls per contest…Her free position percentage of 52.4 percent and her 2.6 goals per game both ranked fourth in the CAA…Scored a season-high six goals in the regular-season finale at Drexel while adding one assist for seven points…Notched five-goal games against No. 20 Duke and High Point and added four-goal games against No. 25 Stanford, Coastal Carolina and Delaware…Finished with two goals and three assists for five points against Hofstra…Set the new program record for most draw controls in a game with 10 against Coastal Carolina…Also had nine draw controls against No. 16 Virginia Tech for the second-most in a game in program history…Was named CAA Player of the Week April 23 after scoring 10 goals with two assists for 12 points to go with eight draw controls in Elon’s two victories at Delaware and Drexel…Earned First Team All-CAA for the third-straight year after being picked a Preseason All-CAA honoree before the year…Was named a Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List honoree for the second year in a row…Was also tabbed an Inside Lacrosse All-America honoree…Earned a spot on the CAA All-Tournament Team for the third year in a row…Named the Team MVP for the second time in her career.
2017: One of three team captains…Started all 20 games for the Phoenix…Finished the season with a program record 58 goals to go with 11 assists for 69 points…Her 58 goals finished as the 25th-most in the country...The 69 points on the season set a new Elon record and finished as the third-most in the CAA…Her 58 goals led the CAA and finished as the 14th-most in conference history, falling one goal short of creating a five-way tie for 10th all-time…Also had 15 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and 32 draw controls on the year…Scored a season-high six goals against Davidson…Tallied five goals in three of the team’s first six games against Campbell, No. 13 Virginia and No. 19 Virginia Tech…Also added four-goal games against High Point, Coastal Carolina, Drexel and No. 17 Towson in the CAA Semifinals…Was named CAA Player of the Week on three occasions – Feb. 7, March 7 and March 27…Earned Preseason All-CAA honors for the second year in a row and finished the year a First Team All-CAA honoree…Was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime against No. 17 Towson to reach the title game…Along with Rachel Ramirez, was named to the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List on March 16, becoming the first two student-athletes in program history named to the watch list for the sport’s highest honor…After the season, was named the CAA’s Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year…Earned Elon’s first All-America honor when she was named an Inside Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention in May.
2016: Played and started all 17 games for the Phoenix…Led the team with 38 goals, ranking third in the CAA with 2.24 goals per game…Second on the team with 41 points to rank ninth in the league with 2.41 points per game…Took 112 shots on the season, averaging 6.59 shots per game to rank first in the conference…Finished season with a 76.8 shot-on-goal percentage…Handed out three assists…Picked up 18 ground balls…Claimed 13 draw controls…Caused 11 turnovers…Tallied a season-high eight points against Longwood after a season-high six goals and two assists…Scored a goal in 15 games, including 10 multi-goal games…Had a season-high four ground balls in two games…Honored on the Preseason All-CAA Team…Garnered CAA Player of the Week honors on Feb. 16…Named to the All-CAA First Team…Selected to the CAA All-Tournament Team.
2015: Played and started every game as a rookie…Recorded an Elon single-season high of 44 goals that ranked 52nd nationally…Second on the team with 10 assists…Led the squad with 54 points on the season and ranked fifth in the CAA with 3.38 points per game…Led the conference and ranked 34th in the nation with 2.75 goals per game…Ranked first in the league with 6.06 shots per game and had 97 shots on the season…Finished the year with a 45.4 shot and 78.4 shot-on-goal percentage…Scored 10 free-position goals…Scored a season-high six goals at Stetson…Set an Elon single-game high with nine points after six goals and a season-high three assists at Stetson…Posted three five-goal single-game performances…Scored a goal in 13 games, including 12 multiple-goal games…Scored the game winner four times, which ranked third in the CAA…Led the team with 34 draw controls…Won a season-high five draws against Hofstra…Picked up 19 ground balls and caused seven turnovers on the season…Tallied a season-high five ground balls at Longwood…Named the CAA Rookie of the Year…Selected to the All-CAA Second Team and the CAA All-Rookie Team…Only freshman named to the All-CAA first or second teams...Named the CAA Rookie of the Week three times on the season…Team MVP.
