Brandon Mason was a four-year football letter-winner at center (2001-04).  He was a second-team All-Big South honoree in 2002 and earned first-team All-SoCon distinction in both 2003 and 2004.  Mason was recognized by The Football Gazette as the National Offensive Lineman of the Week on four occasions during his career and was a first-team All-FCS selection by CollegeSportsReport.com following his senior season.  At the conclusion of his senior campaign, Mason was a first-team All-American by College Sporting News, a second-team All-American by The Football Gazette and was a second-team All-South Region honoree.  Mason was a third-team All-South Region player in 2003.  A stellar student, Mason was chosen as a FCS Athletic Driectors Association Academic All-Star (2002, 2003 and 2004), was a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection (2003 and 2004), a second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American (2003) and a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American (2004).  In 2004 he was awarded both the FCS ADA Postgraduate Scholarship and the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Postgraduate Scholarship.  Mason was named the SoCon's Student-Athlete of the Week once in his career.
