Kelly Lloyd lettered in softball four seasons (1996-1999) and was the nation's toughest player to strike out in 1998 (no strikeouts in 110 at bats).  That same season she earned first-team South Atlantic All-Region accolades as she hit .373 with 13 doubles and 21 RBI.  She led the team three times in batting average (.363 in 1996, .445 in 1997 and .331 in 1999) and doubles (five in 1996, 14 in 1997 and 10 in 1999).  Lloyd also was the team's top home run hitter in 1997 (four) and 1999 (three) and RBI producer in 1996 (30) and 1999 (15).  Her .381 career batting average still rates as the best in the program's fast pitch history as does her .445 batting average in 1997.  She is also the program's record-holder with a .561 career slugging percentage.  Lloyd ranks among the softball program's career top-10 in runs (T10th, 90), hits (8th, 191), doubles (3rd, 42), triples (T9th, nine) and RBI (4th, 102).  Over the course of her career Lloyd struck out just 20 times in 501 at bats.

Lloyd is a 1999 graduate of Elon.
