BLOOMINGTON, IL--The Elon College men's golf team is ranked 37th in the nation in the latest computerized standings produced by Golfstat, the school learned Thursday.
Elon, which has won two fall tournaments already this season, received 912.49 ranking points in the standings, which ranks all NCAA Division I golf programs using a formula which includes factors such as adjusted scoring average, the average dropped score, tournament wins, and rank of schedule. Elon is ranked just behind #35 Duke University and #36 North Carolina State University, and ahead of schools such as #40 Wake Forest University and #47 Texas A&M University.
Individually, Elon's Terry Slater is ranked 19th in the country.
