CONWAY, SC -- The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers used scores of 2-1 and 11-0 to sweep Sunday's Big South softball doubleheader from the Phoenix. In the opener Elon took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Gina Forcinito (1-for-3, run) scored on a wild pitch. Elon held the slim lead until the bottom of the sixth when Lee hit her first dinger of the day to knot the game at 1-1. CCU would use a homer from Karlye Fortune to lead off the bottom of the seventh to take the game 2-1.

Shawn Browne (7-14) was the hard-luck losing pitcher as she allowed just five hits in six innings while striking out four. Danielle Jenkins (10-7) picked up the complete game win allowing no earned runs on six hits.

Coastal came out hot in the second game, scoring two runs in the first, four in the second and five in the third to take the game 11-0 in five innings.
