LEXINGTON, VA -- Jessica Burgeson placed in three events as the Phoenix competed in 15-team meet this weekend at VMI. The Burlington, NC native placed sixth in the 55M Hurdles, 20th in the 200M and 14th in the Triple Jump.

Other top finishes for the Phoenix included Jessica Hayden, finishing 18th in the 200M with a time of 28.58, Carla Madeo, placing 11th in the 400M, and Nia Douglas, throwing 11.48M in the Weight Throw to finish in eighth place.

As a team, the Phoenix improved in the 4x400M Relay to finish at 7th with a time of 4:27.79. The team also placed eighth in the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 14:14.20.

The Phoenix travel next to the Big South Conference Championships on February 16th.
