PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The St. John's volleyball team defeated Elon University, 3-0,(30-23,30-23,30-26) tonight in a match played at the Palestra in Philadelphia.

St. John's was led by Sarah McCrary who recorded a double-double with 20 kills on 39 attempts for a .487 hitting percentage and 13 digs. Setter Robyn Kurasaki dished out 37 assists and added seven digs, while Jackie Ahlers added 14 kills and 5 digs.

The Phoenix (3-10 overall) were lead by Emily Hayes, who posted 12 kills and a team high 11 digs and added one assist. In a standout performance for Elon, Kate Hart had 35 assists.

The Phoenix concludes the Penn Tournament tomorrow when they take on Manhattan at 10:00 a.m. and close out the tournament with Penn at 5:30 p.m.
