SPARTANBURG, SC -- Elon men’s soccer player Jared Rudolph has been named the TIAA-CREF SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 12.

Rudolph (pictured right) scored the game-winning goal in Elon’s 2-0 victory over rival High Point on Sunday. The score was his first collegiate goal and came in his final regular season game. On the year he has taken only two shots and has played in 13 contests.

A senior defender from Westerville, Ohio (Westerville North), Rudolph is a business administration major with a 3.23 GPA. He has Been on the Dean’s List once and the AD's Honor Roll five times. Rudolph has also served on the Student Athlete Advisory Council and has represented Elon at two prominent leadership conferences.

TIAA-CREF, with $290 billion in assets under management (8/31/03), is a Fortune 100 company and a diversified national financial services organization, including the premier pension system for educational and research employees.
