MISSION, Kan. -- Following another 2-0-0 week to improve to 4-0-0 overall on the year, the Elon Phoenix men’s soccer team climbed to eighth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America South Region poll. Elon was in a three-way tie for ninth in last week’s initial poll of the year.

Elon’s 4-0-0 start is its best at the NCAA Division I level and its first since beginning the 1988 season 5-0-0. This week, the Phoenix knocked off East Carolina (3-0) and High Point (6-1).

Elon will hit the road for its next five games, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday night at #19 Old Dominion.
