College of Charleston (287) and Chattanooga (287) share the early lead in the 10-team field, entering the second round of the three-round, three-day tournament. Georgia Southern (292), UNC Greensboro (292) and Western Carolina (297) round out the top five squads. The Phoenix (303) and the Terriers (303) lead Appalachian State (305), Davidson (305) and Furman (306).

Elon leader Lance Johnson fired a two-over-par 74 to claim a share of 15th place out of 50 golfers. College of Charleston's Scott Larkin, Chattanooga's Bryce Ledford and Georgia Southern's Ryan LeFerve each carded a three-under 69 to land in a three-way tie for the top spot on the leaderboard.

In addition to Johnson, Louis Rittberger (Tied-19th/75), Bennett Smith (Tied-26th/76), Justin Newton (Tied-36th/78) and Jimmy Lytle (Tied-40th/79) are all representing the Phoenix.
