Ealer Earns Academic All-District Distinction

Ealer concluded her perfect 4.0 sophomore year last month with a 3.97 cumulative grade-point average as a double major in history and psychology. The four-time Elon President's List and Athletics Director's Honor Roll student has regularly represented the Phoenix on the TIAA-CREF Academic All-Southern Conference teams for cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field as well as the SoCon Honor Roll.

The No. 3 runner on the 2005 Elon cross country squad, Ealer commandeered top-25 finishes at four meets last fall, including the Southern Conference Championship. This past spring, she established the Phoenix outdoor track and field record in the 10,000-meter run at 38:29.48.

Ealer's top finishes in indoor track competition last winter included a second place in the 5,000-meter run at the North Carolina Fast Times Meet, a fourth place in the 5,000-meter run at the Carolina Invitational and a ninth place in the 3,000-meter run at the Southern Conference Championship.

At the recent SoCon outoor track and field meet, Ealer ended up fourth out of 13 athletes in the 10,000 meters and ninth out of 25 runners in the 5,000 meters.
