GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Elon women’s tennis team picked up its tenth victory of the season with a 7-0 win against the Presbyterian Blue Hose on Friday afternoon. Due to the rainy weather, the match was played at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center. The Phoenix (10-3) has won all nine matches it has hosted this season. Presbyterian dropped to 1-7 on the year.
“It was really good to have some different players contribute in today’s victory,” commented Elon head coach Elizabeth Anderson. “It really helps build confidence and team camaraderie as we move into Southern Conference play.”
The Phoenix cruised to three straight doubles victories to earn the team point. Anna Milian and Elisa Simonetti continued their dominant doubles play this year, winning their ninth match by a score of 8-3 against Heather Heusel and Paige Oelke.
