ELON, N.C. – The Elon men’s basketball team will play the first of its final two regular-season contests when it travels to Davidson to face off against the Wildcats on Thursday, February 24 at 7 p.m. in Belk Arena. The Phoenix has won two straight against the ‘Cats (15-13, 8-8) and is looking to sweep the season series after a 77-70 victory in mid-January. Elon (12-15, 6-10) is aiming for a three-game winning streak for the first time of the season and will clinch the North Division No. 4 seed in the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament with a victory.

• Elon is looking to extend its winning streak to three straight for the first time this season — a victory would also give Elon three consecutive wins over Davidson for the first time ever.
• The Phoenix is battling for the North Division’s No. 4 seed in the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament. With a victory, Elon will secure fourth place in the division.

• Elon is fourth in the national rankings with 9.4 three-pointers per game. The Phoenix has nailed 36 treys over the last three contests.

Lucas Troutman has blocked 19 shots over the last nine games, giving him a total of 40 on the season. He ranks 10th on Elon’s single season list and is first in the SoCon with 1.5 per game.
• Four of Elon’s top seven scorers are freshmen.
Jack Isenbarger leads the rookies with 10.8 ppg.

• Behind a career-high 30 points and 10 assists from senior
Chris Long, Elon swept the season series with UNC Greensboro after a 99-90 victory on Saturday night. The double-double was the third of Long’s career.
• Elon had five players in double figures and got 52 points from its bench.
• The Phoenix shot 54 percent from the field and hit 16-of-34 three-pointers. The 16 triples matched its season-high set against Lynchburg on Dec. 12.
• Freshman
Sebastian Koch poured in a career-best 23 points — 17 in the first half. The rookie knocked down six treys.
ELON VS. DAVIDSON
• Davidson has won seven of its last eight games after suffering a four-game losing skid during the month of January.
• Elon has not won at Davidson during its Division I history — the last known victory on Davidson’s campus was in 1923 (Note: some locations are unknown).
• The Phoenix and Wildcats have both scored 1149 points over the 16 SoCon games.
