Series History
After sweeping Appalachian State in a three-game series at Latham Park last season, Elon enters the weekend with an all-time record of 56-13 against the Mountaineers.

On Deck
Elon will return home to take on East Carolina on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before heading on the road for five consecutive games beginning with a weekend set at Western Carolina.
SoCon Starts
Elon is now in its eighth season as a member of the Southern Conference. The Phoenix has compiled a 7-0 mark in its first seven SoCon openers, including three wins over Appalachian State in that span. Elon has also never dropped an opening series in SoCon play.
Closing it Out
Since 2007 Elon has been very good at closing out games. The Phoenix has gone a combined 140-11 (.927) when leading after seven innings and 144-12 (.923) when holding a lead following the eighth inning.
Singled Out
In Elon’s 11-2 victory over Saint Joseph’s on March 9, the Phoenix tallied 11 hits. All 11 were singles, including a game-high three from rightfielder
Niko Fraser.
Pritchard Honored by SoCon
For the first time in his four-year Elon career, senior infielder
Neal Pritchard was selected as the Southern Conference Player of the Week in baseball. Pritchard was recognized on for games played between Feb. 28 and March 6.
During Elon’s five-game week, Pritchard reached base safely in each game, batting .615 with two home runs and eight RBI. He belted out eight hits and scored seven runs. He also drove home a season-high four runs in a victory over West Virginia as the Phoenix improved to 3-1 against Big East competition. The Asheboro, N.C. native posted a .737 on-base percentage, a 1.154 slugging percentage and had three multi-RBI outings.

Elon’s 6-2 victory over Wright State on March 5 marked the 400th win of the program’s tenure at the NCAA Division I level. Elon’s first year of Division I play was the 2000 season.
