Women's Golf Signs Two for 2013-14

ELON, N.C. -- Elon University women's golf coach Chris Dockrill has announced the signings of two players for the 2013-14 season.  Joining the Phoenix program next fall will be Kelsey Badmaev (Blythewood, S.C./Provost Academy) and Taylor Wilkerson (Los Altos Hills, Calif./Castilleja School).

Badmaev has helped Provost Academy to three first-place AAAA Region titles.  She has qualified three times (2010-12) for the U.S. Girls Junior Championship and earned medalist honors at the 2011 U.S. Girls Junior Championship Qualifier.  Badmaev has also claimed first-place finishes at the 2011 PKB Masters, the 2011 WSCGA Girls Championship and the 2012 The Blade Junior.  A qualifier for the 2012 AJGA Girls Championship, Badmaev has participated in the 2011-12 Carolina-Virginia/Mayland and South Carolina-Georgia team matches.

Kelsey is the daughter of Franz and Stacey Badmaev and intends on studying communications.

Wilkerson has helped coach Chris Roffi's Castilleja School program to four league titles as well as four sectional appearances.  A two-time team captain, Wilkerson claimed 13 top-10 individual finishes, including top-three showings in three events.  She placed first at the Green Hill Junior, second at the Ernie Barbour Junior and tied for third at the Concord City Junior.

Taylor is the daughter of Glenn and Sonja Wilkerson and intends to study psycology.
