• This will be just the third appearance for the Phoenix in the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament in its nine-year history in the league.
• Elon’s last trip to the tournament semifinals was the 2007-08 season when the Phoenix defeated College of Charleston, 75-61, before falling to Davidson in the title game. Elon is 1-1 in SoCon Tournament semifinal games.
• Elon is now 8-1 in its first game in the SoCon Tourney. The Phoenix is 1-6 in its second game of the conference tournament.
• Elon’s 15 wins are the most in a single-season for third-year head coach Matt Matheny. With a win today, the Phoenix would secure Matheny his first .500 season or better. The 15 wins are the most by an Elon team since a 15-14 campaign in 2005-06.
• With a win tonight, the Phoenix would earn 16 wins for the first time in the school’s Division I history which began in 1999-2000. Sixteen victories would be the most since 1996-97.
• Sophomore Jack Isenbarger is currently in fourth place on Elon’s single-season three-pointer list with 71. The single-season record at Elon is 82, set by Matt Nowlin in 2003-04. Isenbarger is seventh on the career charts with 131 triples in only two seasons.
• Over the last 14 games, Isenbarger is averaging 19.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 3.8 apg. He is shooting 48.9 percent and has hit 48 triples. The only game he didn’t eclipse double figures in that stretch was at Davidson on Feb. 23.
• Elon’s win against Georgia Southern on Saturday was its first victory away from Alumni Gym since a 71-63 win at Western Carolina on January 26. The Phoenix is 5-11 away from home, 1-0 on a neutral floor.
• Elon has been struggling on the defensive end of the floor as of late — Phoenix opponents have shot 40 percent or better in 13 of the last 15 contests and in all but two of the 15 losses.
 • Elon is 11-4 when scoring 70 or more points and 4-10 when scoring 69 or less points.
• With 89 career blocks, Lucas Troutman is in sixth place all-time at Elon. He has 42 blocks on the year and is 10th on the school’s single-season list.
• The Phoenix has shot better than its opponent in 13 of its 15 wins this year.

LAST TIME OUT
• Elon shot 53% and gutted out a 65-58 victory to avenge an earlier season loss to Georgia Southern in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The Phoenix shot 50% or better for only the sixth time this season.
• Backup point guard Josh Bonney came off the bench for a season-high 20 minutes of action, scoring six points and adding four assists. He was critical in breaking Georgia Southern’s press.
• Isenbarger was the lone Phoenix in double figures with 18 points, hitting 9-of-9 from the charity stripe.
• The lead changed hands nine times — all in the first half. Elon saw its 11-point lead dwindle as GSU tied the game at 48 midway through the second half, but the Phoenix answered the Eagle push.

ELON VS. DAVIDSON
• Elon’s lone meeting against the Wildcats this year did not go well as Davidson turned a four-point halftime advantage into a blowout 66-45 victory in Davidson just 10 days ago.
• The biggest difference in the game was on the glass as Davidson held a 50-35 advantage on the boards, pulling down 20 offensive rebounds.
• These teams are quite familiar with one another as Matt Matheny served as an assistant on Bob McKillop’s staff at Davidson for 16 years. Tim Sweeney (2 years) and Will Roberson (3 years) were also assistants under McKillop. Matheny ‘92 and Roberson ‘02 are Davidson grads.
• This will be the sixth meeting for Elon and Davidson since Matheny took over the reigns. Davidson is 3-2 in the first five meetings — the teams have split the last four contests.
• Tonight’s game will mark the sixth all-time meeting between the Phoenix and ‘Cats in the SoCon Tournament with Davidson taking four of the five meetings. Matheny is the only Elon coach to beat the Wildcats in the SoCon Tourney as the Phoenix’s head man got his first-ever league tournament victory with 66-59 win over the Wildcats in the 2009-10 tournament.
• The only meeting between Davidson and Elon in the SoCon Tournament semifinals was the 2005-06 season, as the Wildcats came away with a 65-58 win.
