2012 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships

ELON, N.C. – Elon University women’s tennis standouts Jordan Johnston and Frida Jansaker earned a prequalifying doubles spot to play in the 2012 Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships held on UCLA's campus in Los Angeles, Calif., on Sept. 29-30.
 
Johnston and Jansaker spent time in the national rankings last season at No. 43, as the duo finished the season with a 20-2 mark (9-1 in Southern Conference) and ended the season on a 10-match winning streak.
 
Johnston and Jansaker began last season with an 8-6 victory over fourth-ranked North Carolina’s nationally ranked team of Zoe De Bruycker and Laura Slater and took off from there. The pair earned first-team all-league honors in doubles action and both earned all-conference honors in singles as well.
 
The Phoenix women’s tennis team hosts the Elon Fall Invitational this weekend, Friday-Sunday, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
