ELON, N.C. - Many members of the Elon University athletic family took their time to wish senior men's cross country runner Luis Vargas the best of luck as he competes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22, in Terre Haute, Ind.
Vargas became Elon's first-ever NCAA cross country qualifier after capturing the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship last Friday, Nov. 14. The Angier, N.C., native will look to become the program's first-ever All-American with a top-40 finish in the 10K race, which begins at 1 p.m.
