HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team pushed its winning streak to five matches following a 7-0 sweep versus North Central College on Monday, March 23, in its spring break tournament in Hilton Head, S.C. With the win, Elon improves to 10-5 on the year. The Phoenix has won nine of its last 10 matches.

Playing eight-game pro-sets in singles action, Elon was victorious on every court.

After sweeping doubles to take a 1-0 lead on the Cardinals, the maroon and gold claimed all six singles matches to secure the sweep. Rookies
Olivia Lucas and
Erica Braschi each registered 8-0 decisions versus NCC's Katie Drone and Kelsey Forkin at No. 1 and 3 singles, respectively. Braschi has won a team-best seven consecutive matches.

Barbora Lazarova won her team-best ninth match of the season after claiming an 8-1 win against NCC's Miranda Grizaffi at the No. 2 spot.

Kamilla Beisenova topped Hanna Anderson, 8-1, while
Bridget Liddell claimed an 8-1 result against Karissa Schroeder.

To wrap up the win,
Taylor Casey topped Clare O'Connor at No. 4 singles, 8-2.

Elon returns to action tomorrow, March 24, at 9:30 a.m. against Savannah State. Later in the day at 3:30 p.m., the Phoenix takes on Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
