ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's tennis team heads to USC Upstate for its regular season finale on Thursday, April 14, looking to extend its six match winning streak. The Phoenix will face off against the Spartans at 2 p.m.

The Phoenix (12-9) earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory on the road at East Carolina on Friday, April 8, for its sixth straight win, and ninth in the last 10 matches.

BRASCHI & LUCAS ON A ROLL
Erica Braschi leads the team with 14 singles wins this season and is currently on a 10-match winning streak. On March 22, Braschi earned CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
Olivia Lucas extended her singles winning streak to six matches against ECU. She earned her first-career CAA women's tennis Player of the Week honor on April. 5.

SERIES HISTORY
Thursday will be the fourth meeting between Elon and USC Upstate. The Phoenix leads the series 3-0 against the Spartans during Elon's Division I era. Last season, Elon defeated USC Upstate, 6-1, on February 20, 2015, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

The Phoenix will begin action in the 2016 CAA Women's Tennis Championships, April 21-24, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

HEAD COACH ELIZABETH ANDERSON
Elizabeth Anderson is in her 12th season as head coach of the Phoenix. Anderson has led Elon to four straight seasons of 15 or more wins and guided the program to its first NCAA Tournament in 2014.

2016 CAA TOURNAMENT
Elon was selected to host the 2016 Men's and Women's Tennis Championships, which will be held April 21-24 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center and the Burlington Tennis Center. It will mark the first-ever CAA Tournament hosted by the Phoenix and first conference tournament hosted by the program since the 2013 SoCon Tournament.
