ELON, N.C. – Elon University head volleyball coach Mary Tendler recently toured the Schar Center construction site, where the Phoenix will call home beginning in 2018.



The Schar Center will serve as the new home for Elon basketball and volleyball, and includes a spacious entry atrium, a large practice gymnasium, outstanding locker room and team facilities, and a hospitality room for social events and gatherings. The arena capacity will be triple the size of the existing Alumni Gym, on par with the size of facilities at other member schools in the Colonial Athletic Association.
