ELON, N.C. - Elon University men's tennis senior standout
Felipe Sarrasague is set to compete at the 2018 Oracle ITA Masters in Malibu, California, Sept. 20-25, at the Malibu Racquet Club.
Sarrasague, who is a No. 21-seed for the tournament, will take part in the Oracle ITA Masters starting on Thursday, Sept. 20, and face off against Guanarteme Nuez of University of Texas-Arlington at 1:30 p.m. pacific time. Should he win, he would move on to play either Laurens Verboven of USC or Hendrik Inno of Belmont in the second round.

The men's and women's finals at the 2018 Oracle ITA Masters will be shown live on ESPN3, Sept. 24-25.
Sarrasague, who was named the 2018 CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Year, was a 20-match winner in 2017-18 and posted a combined record of 20-11 since the start of the fall campaign. Fourteen of those victories came during the spring season with 12 of them coming at the No. 1 spot. During the year, Sarrasague put together an eight-match winning streak. Although he lost eight matches in the spring of 2018, three of those came to nationally-ranked opponents. In doubles action, Sarrasague contributed 15 victories. In 2016, Sarrasague was also the CAA's Rookie of the Year.
